My Instant Reaction: Bears vs Chargers

Hard to Live When Your World is Upside Down #StoryTimeWithDJMoore

By DJ Moore It was my first year out of Chicago. I was in Charlotte, North Carolina, playing with the Carolina Panthers. I was excited because I had been fortunate enough to play for my hometown team. The Panther’s facility is one hour from where I grew up, and they hold training camp in the very town where I’m from – Spartanburg, SC on Wofford College campus. I had made it through the dog days of training camp and the season was up next. The first game finally arrived, and we were playing the Seahawks. It was Sept 8, 2013, on a hot day in Charlotte. I was playing nickel …

DA YEAR! Hope My Dreams Come True!

By Earl Bennett Last night I dreamed of a Super Bowl. The Navy and Orange from Illinois stormed the field to play against the red and gold team from Missouri. The stands filled with mostly Bears colors just like it should have been. Before the game, as I watched on the television, I whispered to myself, “This is DA YEAR for the Bears to win.” Bears have the best Defense in the NFL and Mitch Trubisky was playing like a “Top 5” Quarterback. I don’t usually believe what people say about situations, however so many veterans echoed the same sentiments on how grueling camp was. Little did I know camp practices would be the easiest thing I dealt with that first training camp. Every man has a vice and I absolutely loved the ladies. I had a motto “If I don’t feel skin, I ain’t in.” Sexual roulette you could call it. I was easily a step above promiscuous. Of the four young …

The Stafford Onslaught #StoryTimeWithDJMoore
It was Sunday Night Football, a prime-time game with everyone watching two divisional teams about to battle. The Monsters of the Midway were in prime form to destroy any offense that stepped on the field in 2011. Everyone was getting ready in the locker room, and Anthony Adams was up to his usual locker room shenanigans. We were playing the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field. I loved playing against the Lions. Mathew Stafford tended to be careless with the football. On this night, he was extra sloppy with the pigskin. I was excited because I knew I would have ample opportunities to impact the game. In my wildest dreams, I …
